Great for road cycling

Used it to navigate a 53 mile suburban route that was new to me (California, US).
Map, location and real-time directions were very helpful.
Also nice to have offline maps, for rides in areas with now data network.
Trying to figure out how best to configure for longer rides, where directions would be helpful but leaving the screen on/lit will drain the battery; complicated further with stretches of road with no 3G/4G: maybe just use the offline maps & gps location (not navigation directions, which require the screen to be on).
